Just now getting to that point where i should start worrying about colleges. thanks, and i dont know how responses work on here, so itd be great if you could shoot me an email,
ANSWER: Hi John: Your 2K time is in the Top 20% for heavyweights your age. Your 5K is extraordinary. You can check the Concept II rankings yourself ( http://www.concept2.com/sranking03/get_wrankings.asp ), but your time is one of the best in the world!!!

ANSWER: Hi Again, John: I think you sent me a duplicate of your previous question, which I answered and I'll respond again: Your 2K time is great and your 5K time is world-class. Go to the Concept II website ( www.concept2.com ) and check out the online World Rankings to verify yourself.
Hope that helps/AP

QUESTION: sorry didn't realize that it went through, i wanted to ask what a 5k shouldn be like if your looking for any kind of aid in college...for mens obviously. thanks,
john
AnswerOkay John, I got you now. I'd say you would get a coach's attention by posting a 2K time of 6:30 or better and a 5K time of 18:20 or better.
My guess is, you will be rowing a 2K at or below 6:20 by the time you are senior. And your 5K time is already insane. If you have the race experience and grades, coaches from top programs are going to beat your doors down.
I'd strongly recommend you apply to a junior national camp this summer because I think you are that good.
