Where to row
Question
QUESTION: Hi, I am a freshman in high school girl and I am on my school's crew team. I want to row over the summer and my school doesn't have a summer program. I am on varsity and have a 7:02 2k. I am a lighweight. I am from Boston, MA. I need to know some good clubs to row at during the summer.
ANSWER: Hi Sammi: Your time is just seconds off the best women's lightweight time in the world for teenagers. AWESOME!!!
There is this neat thing called "Google" ( www.google.com ). Just type in "Boston Rowing Clubs" and a list of rowing clubs from Boston will magically appear. Just give them your erg time and they will be knocking your door down for you to join.

Answer
Hi Again, Sammi: I didn't mean to be so curt on my first reply. But I received a previous question just before yours that sounded like a prank and I thought you were pranking on me too.
I'm not from Boston, and I haven't competed in a while. Riverside and Union are clubs I am familiar with. I would just suggest you take your list and spend a weekend checking out the clubs. Key things to consider are distance from your home and whether thaey have a good junior program. With your outstanding erg time, you will get interest.
