getting into climbing
Question
I'm intersted in climbing, but have just begun through one indoor and one outdoor lesson. Is it expensive, outfitting and trips? Are you a professional or do you have a 'day job'? What is your diet like for training? Are your clibs ever sponsered? Do you belong to a 'club' or do you go alone? Thanks for any input, I know so little. Do you read about climbing, too?

Answer
At first i would like to apoligise for not returning your question sooner.
Ok well when i first got into to climbing i had my brother and sister to help me. There are many books on the market about setting up climbs and climbing techniques.
You need to make sure you are confident on the wall first and im sure you can see your confindence is coming, because of the two lessons you have had.
Nothing in climbing is especially difficult it all comes with experience basically.
Im not a professional climber, but i know alot about the sport. I have alot of experience all over britain and abroard.
With training for climbing it is important to get your power to body weight ratio up. You basically do this by ballencing your weight and strength. You need to improve your upper body strength all the time. In my training pattern i have a chin up bar, i canoe so this helps, i sail and all these sports helps to keep my upper body strength.
A rowing machine is excellent training and running is brilliant aswell. If you feel comfatable with weights then this should be ok top use aswell, as long as you are careful.
It is quite difficult to explain until you get your own pattern and routeen in training.
Im sure you will pick it up.
I hope i have helped.
Good luck with everything and let me know if i can help with anything.
Let me know how it goes!
