Backpacking in Florida

Hi. I am going down to Miami to visit some family and I was wondering what kind of outdoors activities there are. I am interested in any type of activity that's outdoors although I am especially into rock climbing, backpacking and mountaineering. I know Florida is not the place to go for mountains but is there anything there that could be interesting? thanks

Sorry to disappoint you but Miami is not the place for rock climbing areas. There may be some rock gyms in the area but I don't know about that. Your best bet about outdoor activities is some seakayaking, surfing or sailing. There are plenty of outfitters in the Everglades area for seakayaks and other things. Fishing is also nice on the flats. Lake Okechobee is OK for inland sailing but I am not aware of any outfitters.
