Does R-410a make the outside Ac unit sweat?

Refrigerant does not cause the sweating on condenser coils. Rather, that's caused by the ambient humidity in the air condensing on the cold metal of the condenser coil when it is below the "dew point" of the ambient air. When an air conditioner is cooling normally during the cooling cycle, the condenser fan motor dissipates heat off of the condenser coil and causes the water condensation to evaporate. Under very humid weather conditions, the condensation may evaporate quickly enough and you will not see any water accumulating on the condenser coil. Under lower ambient temperature or higher ambient humidity conditions, the condensation will not evaporate as quickly, and you will visually observe water accumulating on the condenser coil. This is normal and should not be misinterpreted that there is a problem with the equipment.
