Asthma
Question
I am a huge runner. It is my life. I am all in to the atletic life with other sports also. I am not happy unless I can get my running, swimming, or other physical activty in everyday . But I have recently been diagnosed with asthma. I was very upset thinking it would never let me run or perform sports the same again. I suppose I thought I was invincible thinking nothing would ever happen to me.My doctor told me not to excersise for a while, but I can not do that. Can I still run and do other sports like I was able to before, fast and slow, without dramatic affects and diffuculty?

Your Answer: Hi Nichole
First i feel for you,but it is not the end all. From many years of experience with medical community,i have a lot of reservations and not a lover. That is what made me persue the mmedical side of the running business.First i have to tell you i cannot answer that question. You have to be very determined and agressive in asking a lot of questions of your doctor as to why,why why,and demand full and complete explanations.Your doctor probably won't enjoy this, but who cares what he thinks. They do not have all the answers, since i have found out many times.Get on to google and start educating your self in regards to your situation and what type. There are many kinds and also there are many other factors such as allergys, envirimental, and to many others to mention. It very likley could be exercise induced. There are many athletes with this form.Your doctor said no exercise for a while.I would ask him directly why and what for and how long specifictly, and if he could not answer those direct questions i would find another doctor. You have to get tough with them and your situation just like your program.I could go on and on,but you really have to take control and do your homework and reaserch articles on everything that relates to asthma and what you can do to combat it.There is all kind of info on the web that your doctor probably doesn't even no.Keep me in touch and if you have any more questions just get in touch. You will lick it.I'm in your corner.
The very best to you

DOWN BUT NOT OUT it is your choice what fork in the road you decide to take nichole.it is at that moment you run head on into adversity and feel your dream slipping away that you have to rekindle the flame and reastablish your vision of victory in your heart and your mind in order to become the hero of your own success story..you must not think and talk about the problems that lie a head.you must focus on the solutions and stand tall in the difficult times in life and look beyond where you are now and SPEAK TO YOUR MOUNTAINS THAT LIE AHEAD.that is the only way to accomplish the impossible.hope is not a strategy. Its the flight plan that you have filed and are comitted to that will take you in the direction to your destination with a safe landing.
