My friend keeps telling me to do fartliks...what exactly is this as I don't want t ask him and look stupid....does he really want me to try and lick my farts? how is this possible?

It can be any length of run where you keep changing the speed and the recovery such as for a 1 hour run after easy working into a 10min warm up you would pick up the pace for  a period of time and then slow it down for a period of time.Their are no rules to this training other than try to adapting to an up coming race or just for a little deversion.Any length of distance or time if you prefer.The inervals of rest and recovery is also something you decide on ahead of time.Got the picture Jomo.
