sore feet, ankles and shins

Question
I began to increase the amount of exercise which I  do in February.  I began to do a mixture of step and body attack classes at this time, as well as my usual yoga class.  At this point I was doing around four classes a week.  I have had to decrease this to three due to pain in the underside of my foot , my ankles and my shins.  The pain varies in terms of where most of the pain is coming from, at the moment it is my ankles.  I wear new balance running shoes for the classes.  As I have decreased the amount of exercise I am doing and I am still having pain I am not sure how to take this forward.  I weigh around 9 stone, and I am a 25 year old female.  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Sus
Without knowing anything about your bio, your present and past history of training,my answer would be to you is your not building up gradually and your body can't handle the overload and you need to develope a better schedule which allows for more recovery for the body to catch up with what your subjecting it to.Keep this in mind Sus and don't forget it.With out rest there will be no growth of muscle tissue and repair of many tendons and connective tissue etc.I would enjoy working with you with your quest to reach a higher level of fitness if your interested Sus.If you have other questions just get in touch Sus.

All the best

John
