running & headaches

Question
I have finally had enough...Ever time I go for a run either on the treadmill or outside a major headache always seems to follow once I get back home..I am also one of those people who get a really red face even though I am fine..Is this something I should be worried about? Should I see a doctor?

Answer
Hi, Brettney

It sounds like it could be as simple as dehydration.  Headache is a common symptom of dehydration.

Make sure you are taking in enough fluids before, during, and after your run.  Also, be sure you are sleeping enough each day.  Make sure that you are also not overtraining (i.e. running too far too fast)

Other than that, I can't think of anything else so if those suggestions do not work, then see your doctor.

I hope it gets better.
