runing
Question
am i to old to run for fitness iam 62
Answer
No, of course not. Anyone can run and walk. I've run in half-marathons where 50/60 year-old ladies and men have finished either faster than me, or the somewhere around my time. I was reading an article the other day that said they had a 93 year-old finisher. It's pretty amazing what the human body can do.That being said, it will take time. Because you haven't run regularly, you'll need to ease into it. I am going to send you a few links to some walking-into running programs, and try and pick one to stick with. It may sound stupid, or you may get discouraged because you wanted to run immediately, but please, please, don't try and just up-and-run. For anyone, whether you may be 18 or 100, you need to start walking, or you will get injured, and it is not fun. Also, have you talked to your doctor? If he says that it is probably not a good idea, ask for the specifics. Usually it will be: weight, cholesterol, or blood pressure. In any of these cases, running/walking is the best remedy, despite your age limits. If it is anything else, ask me about it, and I'll try and help you out with it.

Hope I helped, and if you have any follow-up questions, don't be afraid to ask.
Finally, an inspirational quote: "Sometimes, people use age as a convenient excuse.
'I'm to old too start something new', or, 'I couldn't learn that at my age.'
Other people, though, go on to achieve their greatest accomplishments in life in later years."
