Okay, so for field hockey we do a run of varying length in the beginning of practice, and I have a friend who beats me during a lot of them, and when we run together I have to try a lot harder to run at the same pace. The thing that REALLY pisses me off is that I practice a lot more than her. I run on all of my days off (its preseason so we only have practice 3 times a week) and am always changing it up (tempo runs, interval type runs, ect.) and I push myself insanely hard during all of them. It's not fair and I seriously don't know what else to do. Extra info: I'm a 15 year old girl.) Please help me do something or explain why this is happening?

It is not possible to determine who has more speed based on the soccer field workouts regardless of your efforts with your own personal workouts.There are many factors that determine such information and since your primary focus is to enjoy playing your best high quality position on the team to a successful conclusion,weather or not she might respond a little quicker has no relevant to the successful team effort.Bottom line just focus on your position and support the overall team effort.This is not track and field.Any further questions just give me a shout out riley.
