Question
Hello ! Patt, I could use your advice and suggestions on a good pair of running/walking shoes. I have tried New Balance shoes with little success, due in part to my extra wide feet.
I would also be using these same shoes for work.
For your info if it will help:
I am 40lbs overweight so I need a shoe with alot of shock absorption. I need an extra wide shoe {4 EE } at least, maybe even wider.
The shoe will also need to allow for orthotic insoles.
Any suggestions will be Greatly appreciated !
Thank You !
Ron

Answer
HI RON
YOU MIGHT GO TO A GOOD SPORTS STORE FOR PRO ADVICE ON THE PROPER SHOE EVEN IF IT MUST BE ORDERED.  THEN TAKE IT TO A SHOE MAKER AND HAVE INSOLES PUT IN SPECIAL FOR YOUR FEET.
I HAD THIS DONE FOR MY SONS WORK BOOTS, HIS LEFT SIDE HE LIMPS SOME AND IT EFFECTS HIS BACK, THIS SURE HELPED HIM.
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT STORES U HAVE BUT HERE IN PA WE HAVE DICK'S.  THEY CARRY GOOD SHOES, THE FOOT LOCKER DOES AND THEY HAVE HELP TO FIND THE BEST SHOE FOR YOUR NEEDS.

WARM REGARDS
PATT
