Hi Sarah,  I've been running for quite a while (years) and have always had a hard time staying motivated, especially in the cold months.  I have injuried my hamstring (a year or so ago) but still find it stressed at times.  I feel better when I'm running, but I'm a parent of young children and the only time I can get 30 minutes of my time is in the morning, and sometimes I find it hard to get moving.  I'd like to get a race in January accomplished, but I'm feeling frustrated with my current fitness level.  Thanks for your time!

I still have the same problem. It has been bothering me for years! I find it really hard to get motivated. I try to think how much better I feel after I have been out for a run. How about giving yourself a treat after you have done well like been running 4 times a week. Or you could also put like a pound in a tub every time you go out then after a month or so treat yourself to some new running gear. It will make you feel so much better! 30 minutes of running is better than no running at all. Try to increase your time by a couple of minutes a week if you can and that should increase your fitness level.
