Running form problems

Question
Hi John!
I am in high school and run on a cross country team. When I run, I bounce up and down and do it unconsciously. I have known about my problem for about 3 years now and have tried multiple things to stop, but they just don't work. I just bounce and I don't know why. I have tried to widen my strides, barely bring my feet off the ground, and lots more.. I was wondering if you knew anyway to stop this from happening, or how to run without bouncing! Please help! Not only does this slow me down, but it is embarassing too!
Answer
How are ya heather
Some things such as form and running gait are god given and you have to be carefull tinkering with it,since you could make it worst. Here are a couple of things you can work on if you have not allready.
1...Hill repeats aprox.75 to 100 meters working up to 20 of them at aprox 15 degree's twice a week.
2...Straits and curve's where you jog the curves and push the strait's focusing on relax rythem after a good warm up for aprox 30 to 40 minutes once a week.
Let me know if you have worked these before heather. Also you have to give them some time.Get back to me.
The very best to you
John
