Leg Pain during runnig

Question
Thanks John and I appreciate your quick response. I have read a lot of your responses to other questions and have gotten a pretty good idea of your basic philosophy.  I have hit that point in mid life where I want to get away from heavy weights and concentrate on endurance and actually decrease body size. Not looking to be an underwear model but I would love to be one of those guys pounding out 25+ miles a week on the road. Is starting out with two or three runs a week enough to acclimate your body to the sport in a reasonable amount of time (say 4 to 6 weeks)? I know baby steps is the answer but my 18 year old mind keeps telling my 41 year old body it needs to work harder!

Answer
Hi Ken
That is just fine ken.Your right about baby steps. You have many years in front of you.Just take your time and enjoy the process. We all have to start the same way.I'm still at it 7 days a week 28 years later and loving it.Just don't put a time limit on your progress. It will come to you, just listen to your body and keep your focus.

Best to you
enjoy

John
