Question
Hi,

I just started jogging outside for the first time in years. The past year I ran occasionally on a treadmill. I am on my 18th day straight and jog about 2 miles every evening. I am curious to know how long it will take me before I am "use" to the outdoors and will be able to go further? I am able to jog the whole distance without walking but at times feel like I am struggling. I jog uphill and downhill and have changed my route a little my 12th day in but it is still the same distance with a few extra steps. Any advise? Thank you, Kari

Answer
Hi Kari
You just have to be patient, since everybody improves at different rates base on many things such as height weight age diet past history of joging etc etc. What your going threw is normal.I remember very clearly when i started out,and it wasn't pleasant.Your body will adapt over time.Just enjoy the process. There is no rush. This is a life time activity.

Best to you

John
