-----Question-----
Hi Ryan,
I had a proform treadmill which recently broke down (for the third time!). I've decided to get a new one rather than fix it again. Looking for reccomendations, I run everyday 4 miles and walk on incline 2-3 miles and weigh about 170. I don't need or want the bells and whistles(mileage counter, heart rate, etc) just a quality, heavy duty machine to run on!
Thanks and hope you can help,
Brad

Brad,
Let me do a little research on this question. I've used treadmills before, however, not too often as I prefer to run in the elements. Give me a day or so and I'll give you a few recommendations at different price levels.

Answer
Brad,
I don't know your budget but this one seems to be quite good. It's around $2000. I'll keep researching for you at other price levels.
Best treadmill for running.Reviews say the PaceMaster Gold Elite treadmill is one of the best you can buy in this price range. It's sturdy, with a 400-pound capacity and 60" x 20" running surface, so it's good for serious runners, who need a long, wide running surface. It also has an interactive heart-rate monitoring system that adjusts your workout to keep you in your target zone, and nine intensity levels. The Pacemaster Gold Elite has a 3.0 horsepower motor, the same as the club-quality Landice L7. It also has a fairly large footprint, which adds stability. It does not fold for storage.
Hope this helps
