Transition

Question
I want to transition from jogging to running.  What can I do to change my heel-toe strike to a more comfortable form?  What else can I do to keep my heart rate down?

Answer
Jeremy,

There isn't much you can do to keep your heart rate down, as the heart beats however fast it needs to in order to supply enough blood to meet the body's requirements. As you get in better shape, your heart rate will naturally slow down. Your stride will naturally change as you run faster as well and I wouldn't recomend changing what is natural to begin with unless you experience problems of some sort due to your form.
