Question
i completed 21 km marathon 2 days ago. after finishing the race i repeatedly got cramps in my leg, have participated in race 4 the 3rd time & do regular exercise n stretching. this was unexpected. even after two days after the race i m not able to walk 10metres with ease, lot of discomfort n pain, please tell me the reason why this happened n remedies, plus how 2 avoid this in future. thanks

The recovery after the race is based on your fitness level.The is nothing to worry about you will bounce back in time.To avoid this in the future,you must plan out your race schedule 4 to 6 months out and put in the proper preperations.It is all about training.The stress on the musculature over 21k is very damaging.You can take some ice baths which will greatly reduce the imflamation and add a little extra protein to your meals along with some vit c tablets,500mg with your 3 meals a day.Just be patient and your body will come back to you.If you have any other questions just in touch.
