Question
QUESTION: How do you prevent from getting cramps when running because I just started cross country in school.
ANSWER: Hi Riley
First you must watch your diet a good 4 to 6 hours before you train or race in order to make sure you have foods that are easily digested and that you are well hydrated.Second start doing a lot of ab work, but not before races or hard workouts. Also watch the protein since it takes for ever to digest.Your focus should be the high quality dinner and breakfast. If you have other questions just get in touch Riley.

QUESTION: One more thing...Should I drink anything right before I run?
Thanks A lot.
Answer
Hi Riley
No....You start hydrating first thing in morning for a afternoon race or workout.Picture a river with very little water in it.Nothing flows.Look at a river during a storm with flooding.85% of blood is water...Get the picture..70% of muscle is water.Hydration to a runner is like GOLD,you want it all the time. You can take a little water just to take the dry mouth away.
