Question
I was jogging and felt a pain in my left hip from inside. I run through pain a little bit but then it get worth and I had to stop. It was 2 days ago, but pain is still very sharp  every time i step on my left foot. Like i need a cane!
I used to run 9 mile every week for 2 years, then I got pregant, I stop running for 8 month, and now I am back on track about 5 weeks ago.

When would pain go away? And when I can start running again? What kind of cardio exersice can I do while I am healing?
Thank you a lot.

Answer
Hi Katia
Starting back up your going to experience some problems from time to time, and you must get back to the basics of prevention such as pre and post stretching,ab work, back extentions and strengthing exercises etc. Most all problems are directly related to alignment of the body structure, tracking of knee. You can continue to run ,but you have to start with the prevention work.I would recommend the stationary bike which is great for quad strength, tracking, alignment.I think the pain will go away quite rapidly when you start addressing prevention and bike. Also start taking 500mg vit c with your 3 meals a day to enhance recovery of tendons, tissues, cells. It really doesn't seem serious. If you have other questions just get in touch.

All the best

John
