Losing weight

Question
I want to be able to run.  Unfortunately i'm 5'9" and i weigh 276.  Obviously running is probably not the best idea.  I assume i should start with walking?  When do you suggest I start trying to jog/run.  I've never been able to run long distances, even when i was young and thin.  However, I've never seen an overweight person that runs.  Do you have any programs i should try.  I have a beautiful wife and 2 young boys and I don't want to leave this world earlier than I should.  I love eating.  Honestly I know I'm fat because I'm lazy.  I give up when I don't see results.  Should i start walking in the morning AND the evening?  Would that help me get in shape faster?  Should I walk at lunch?  Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Aaron,

you are overweight. Focus on time working out and sweating. The body doesn't start to burn fat until after 30 minutes of working out, before then it just burns sugars. You should try to walk 30 minutes in the morning and after that gets comfortable add 30 at night. Gradually increase the intensity. Lift weights if possible and most importantly watch your diet. Cut out all sodas and drink water or juice. Furthermore try to eat vegetables and salads. Don't eat more because you think you are burning it. It takes a while to see results, but they will come.
