Question
Hi. I am 25 years old. My weight is 89kg.And there is lots of fats around my abdomen, thighs and bums.  I want to have a flatter stomach so i want to loose fats around the abdomen. Also i want to have a butt like an athlete. I run 6 km everyday and half an hour after i swim for an hour. Is my routine good enough to attain the results that i wish to get or should i put in some more excercises. I am planning to do 1000 skippings also after running. Following this routine can u tell me when can i have a flat stomach and a well shaped butt and thighs. Thanks in advance. Please reply.

Answer
Well, getting stuck in a 'do this every workout' kind of program will not be results-producing for you in the long term.  Also, there is no way to spot reduce from certain areas on the body, as the body needs to work together as one, in reducing overall body fat.  The body does not selectively choose where to lose fat from.

Running a set distance every day, or doing the same sort of exercise & exercise duration/length each day is just setting yourself up for failure.

The best I can do is refer you to my guide on such matters, the Mini-Max Method e-book.  You can download it for free at http://speeddialcoach.com/minimax.pdf

I explain why such programming mistakes are mistakes in the long run (i.e. doing the same thing, over & over, and expecting different results).

The keys to fat loss are doing things with high intensity, and doing such in intervals.  Also, strength training is a must-do, if one is seeking fat loss, there is just no way around that.  Total body workouts for strength training, not just body part areas, will get this task done, and help the body synergistically work together for such fat loss goals.

I hope this helps you out well,
