Jogging Injury

Question
I have a question about an injury that I have. I am almost positive it came from jogging. I jog approximately 3 miles a day: uphill/downhill to the gym, 35 mins. in the gym, and then back from the gym. I have been having problems with my right leg, especially in my upper thigh right where my leg bends when I sit. It is a sharp pain in the inner crease of my thigh. It almost feels like my thigh bone is grinding with whatever bone it is connected to above it. This happened a couple of months ago, but I beared the pain, and it seemed to go away. Now it is back, and it hurts to shift my weight to my right leg or even walk initially. It goes away quite a bit when I walk it off, but the pain just becomes a minor sharp pain when I step. I was just wondering what this may be, and how it is treated.
Answer
Hi Lindsay
I know what your talking about, but to eliminate the problem you have to treat the cause of it.Most all injuries in running, musculosketel system are directly related to alignment and tracking. This is your problem Lindsay.Your pelvis is probably rotating. There are number of things that can cause alignment and tracking.I recommend you start with a good core program to stabilize your pelvis. Also leg extensions, curls, adductor, abductor, half squats, stationary bike for tracking, back extensions. The most important thing is to have a great deal of patience and be consistent with the rehabb work.Always have to do prevention to stay ahead the continuos problems that show up from time to time.If you have any other questions just get in touch Lindsay.Just remember you always have to find and treat the cause not put on band aids.
All the very best
