severe calf pain, not cramps

2016/7/22 10:08:48

Question
I have not run for an entire month due to severe pain in both of my calves.  I
had not changed my running habits (of about 15-20 miles per week), nor is it
time for new shoes, nor did I have blood clots (had ultrasounds).  There were
days when I was limping around.  I don't have trouble at night while laying
flat.  My MD has suggested an MRI of my lower back, I suppose to check for
nerve or disc troubles. So if that is the trouble, can I still run when the pain
goes away, or will running aggravate the pain? Do I need physical therapy?

Answer
Hi Cynthia
To give you a proper evaluation of your situation i need a complete BIO of your height weight age present and past training and then i can give you my prescription to resolve your situation for good.

All the very best Cynthia
