fore foot pain with distance

2016/7/22 10:08:20

Question
Hi John,
I'm excited about running my second marathon and my goal to qualify for Boston.  I run 5min/kms and I'm crusing, EXCEPT, when I reach 8km my fore foot pain begins to niggle and just gets worse until I finish.  I have new Asics Kayanos (I ran in Kayanos for my 1st marathon without this problem).  It's like a bruised sensation and eases slightly whenever I can run on the grass.  I managed to finish 26kms last weekend but I'm afraid I'll do some serious damage if I keep running through the pain.
Thanks for your time
Megan

Answer
Hi Megan
It sounds to me from your description that you have a neuroma.I have copied some information on it and you can find further info where i got this on google. Some times when your shoes are to tight and your foot plant doesn't have room to spread you can experience this.If ican answer any other questions Megan just get in touch.

All the best

John
