Question
QUESTION: I'm in grade 11
I run at the lake almost everyday for 30-45mins, During the summer I usually go running at night near to 9, I ran about 4 to 5 days a week, but then i stopped, but now when school starts i want to try and wake up early to run so I can get more time to do homework at night and try to commit to this. I tried waking up early at 5 50 but it doesn't really happen, I would like to know how i could keep up my running habits and try to run earlier because My school starts at 8 which me i have to start running about 6:15am. I am trying to lose weight and improve my distance in running/time. In the morning I do about 30 Situps, Leg Raise, Squats, and about 20 push ups. I am about 5'8 and currently 200lbs
Thanks for taking your time to read and help me answer my problems
ANSWER: Hi Corey
I would forget sit ups,,squats, push ups,leg raises. You only have so much time and running gives you a much much higher return on your time. You can fit the others in when your not rushed such as the weekend. If your really truly commited and DEAD SERIOUS about losing weight you will do what ever it takes to get yourself out of bed and out the door at a time you need to be turning those legs over.If you believe you can or you believe you can't they are both right. It is your choice what fork in the road you want to take at this time and become the hero of your own success story or just another want a be statistic. You have to fight hard and work yourself threw many barriers in all aspects of life, and if you choose not to they become walls of steel and become very destructive habits into a downward spiral. It is your decision Corey. If you have other questions just get in touch.Let me know how your doing.

QUESTION: Is there like a plan that i can follow than just picking random dates to run? and umm when I sometimes run, like beginning of a run or when i stop after I run, I feel a pain in the joints of my knee, is it normal?
Answer
Hi Corey
Just work into it gradually or instead of running just go for a walk till your knees heals up.Some discomfort starting up is normal and is not a real problem, but you have to stay aware.Any plan is up to you and what you want to accomplish.I have been running for 32 years 7 days a week and loving it.
