calories vs metabolism

2016/7/22 10:07:30

Question
I'm usually on the treadmill at 3.8mpr and at an 18% raise. lately I have been Running every 2-3 minutes for two - two and 1/2 min. in hopes of increasing my metabolism. I'm burning more calories when just "walking" for 30 min , rather than running in spurts for 40. Whish is better for me? in the short and longrun???

Answer
Hi Joy
When your short on time, increasing the intensity produces a high calorie reduction. When you have more time you can go a little slower,or go longer and harder to accelerate your situation.Walking will probably at a moderate pace give you about 25% less calorie burning. If you have other questions just get in touch Joy.

All the best

John
