hip pain after regular jog

2016/7/22 10:07:13

Question
I am 44 y/o male with an average build, and started jogging around 3 months ago for reasons of weight loss and improving my general health.  After a few weeks having started very slow and never having jogged regularly, I was sidelined for around a week with pain in my left knee.  After healing, resuming, and increasing up to a mile a day; I injured the left ankle and was sidelined for another 8-10 days.  Now, I have been increasing my range by a little each week and am running at least 3 miles a day.  But, a few days ago I began feeling discomfort in my left hip on the rear and above the buttock, skipped a few days, jogged my 3 miles again yesterday, and immediately following the jog started feeling a fair amount of pain in the same area to the point that walking was and is difficult.  Is this serious, should any attention be paid to the fact that this is the third injury to the same leg, do you have any recommendations for recovery, and how long do I have to wait before i can jog again???

Answer
Hi Mark
You have a lot of questions in regards to starting up and should be addressed so they don't get worst, but i can't answer them appropriately until i get more questions answered in regards to height weigh and many others.Would it be possible for you to call me here in albuquerque NM any time from 6am to 8 pm to cover this with more clarity?Just go to my site for contact.

All the best

John
