nutrition for teen athletes

Question
Mr DeHart. I hope you don't cross me off since I asked a question a few months ago. What daily nutritional requirements are necessary for a teen male to have in order to prevent and combat injury during intense track training? My son tends to complain weekly about this and that aggravation. I want him to fuel his body properly as the season progresses to counteract what is taking toll on his body. I don't know if he's getting the levels of protein and other essential vitamins needed. I thought I'd ask you because it didn't seem that I had an expert in the diet/nutrition category that would have this first hand knowledge.

Thanks,
Kim

Answer
Hi Kim
Could you call me here in albuquerque NM so i could go over his situation with a lot more clarity to make sure he gets it right, and if possible,I would need to ask a number of questions to get a feel for his situation. You can call from 6am to 8pm MT.You can communicate and get my contact from my web site Kin.This would be much more effective.

All the best

John
