breathing techniques

Question
I would like to know when jogging (or running), should you breathe with your nose or mouth or both? Also should you also breathe in deeply or what they call stomach or diaphragm breathing so that there's better intake of oxygen and have more stamina?

If so what about when you're running fast or under strain. Do you use the nose or mouth or also do diaphragm breathing too?

Thanks

Eddie

Answer
Hi Eddie
Your more than likely breathing threw the mouth, but just don't think about it.Just run at a relaxed pace and breathing will come naturally. If your struggling your going to fast and you just have to back off the pace.It is just like the white line down the middle of the road.If you drive over that line into on coming traffic you will crash into on coming cars. That area in running is called oxygen dept(breathing hard)so when you experience breathing hard just slow down till you feel a comfortable breathing rhythm.I hope that you can follow that eddie.

All the best

John
