12 Step hurdle

Question
I just finished the outdoor soccer season on my son's rec team (I am 53)
Apart from being old and slow, I did OK. I am working on losing a little weight which should help, and I will start running on a treadmill soon (the snow comes early here!).
But I also need to be more quick and agile for the indoor season.
I may be too old to get better, but apart from working on my speed on the treadmill I plan to do kick a ball around inside practicing dribbling.
I came across this device on Amazon and it just arrived. Here is the link http://www.amazon.com/Yellow-12-Inch-Step-Hurdle/dp/B000RBKAIE/ref=sr_1_8?s=spor
There are no instruction included. I assume you just step back and forth over it, but I would think there may be a couple other things I can do as well?
Thanks for the help!

Answer
Great job on playing soccer and exercising more Bud!  At 53 you can still make plenty of gains.  You may not become an Olympian, but you can lose weight, get faster, and improve your athleticisim.

Get on youtube and search "small hurdle drills".  You'll find many drills you can do.  The key is to go over it in different directions (sideways, spinning, backwards, crossing your feet on your way over, etc.).

If you have more questions don't hesitate to ask.  Good luck Bud!
