trainers/racing
Question
what do you look for when hiring a trainer for a race horse? what does trainer's job consist of and his responsibilities?
Answer
LOOK FOR SOMEONE THAT HAS A GOOD WIN PERCENTAGE
NOT SO MANY HORSES THAT YOURS GET LEFT IN THE SHUFFLE.
A FAIR DAILY RATE FOR THE AREA YOU WILL RACE IN. TOO CHEEP IS NOT GOOD AS SOMETHING WILL NOT BE DONE, THAT SHOULD BE, TO COVER THE DIFFERENCE.
SOMEONE THAT WILL NOT RUN UP HUGE VET BILLS
SHOULD BE HONEST, AND HAVE A PERSONALITY YOU CAN LIVE WITH.
HIS JOB IS TO SET UP A TRAINING SCHEDULE THAT SUITS YOUR HORSE.
SUPERVISE THE HELP, PICK OUT RACES THAT THE HORSE CAN WIN,
SUPERVISE AND ADJUST THE FEEDING AS NEEDED, KEEP YOU INFORMED AS TO WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH YOUR HORSES OR HORSES.
ETC.
