She's tattoo'ed but i realy cant make out the first letter! but i was able to find one coppy of her "official Record" but it's not filled out. Ther is a nummber in the upper left hand conner so i'm wondering if i can find her info out throw that number! Or can i give it a shot with her tattoo? the number on the paper is A927592.
Answer
Why do you need her papers now? Are you just trying to get some info on her? If so, you can call the Jockey Club and give them her registered name and her age, and they can get you whatever information you're looking for. (for a fee)If you don't know her actual name or breeding, then you can give the Jockey Club as much info as you have, along with what you think her tattoo is, and they will research it for you.(again for a fee)
If you want to get a duplicate copy of her papers, then you'll need a bill of sale from the last owner registered with the Jockey Club, unless you filed a change of ownership when you bought her. Then you'll need new photos, and for $150.00 the Jockey Club will issue you new papers.
The copy of the "official record" that you have is probably a copy of the back of her registration papers. That is where any wins would be recorded. The title "Official Record" is what appears at the top of that page. The front of the papers would have had her name and breeding, along with her registration number, which is 7 digits long, but doesn't have a letter at all. The 7 digits are the last two digits of her year of birth, along with a 5 digit registration number. When the horse is tattooed, then the identifier exchanges the first two numbers (the birth year), with a letter that designates that year. If your mare is indeed 11, then she was born in 1996, and the first letter of her tattoo would be a "Z".
I don't know what the string of letters and numbers you mentioned could be. If it were her registration number, it would be either a letter followed by 5 digits, or a 7 digit number, as I said.
Good luck in your search,
