1.Do thoroughbred owners tend to use only one Veternarian?
2.Do specialists play a large role in equine vetranaryveterinary practices?
3.Do specialists travel regionally or internationally to animals or is the animal brought to their facility?
4.What factors are important in selecting a vet?
5.Is medical insurance common?

well i will answer the ones i can for you  1.---hi i think to make sure that the horse that are going to run in a race is sound and in perfect health for his race. 2.--to make horse racing no-1 in the world. lots of top quality races in every country in the world and plenty of international racing. 3..--well right  now at this time in history Dubai is no -1 in the racing world with all of their top notch races running there.----- veterinary questions-----  1..-no thoroughbred owners will use many vets at the race tracks and on the farms. a second opinion is always best. 2..-yes specialist do play a major factor in horse racing. vets do many of the exams etc while the specialist will do only one thing.   3..-no the specialist do travel all over the world if they are asked to treat a special problem  for the horse. and a psychic will also help in your horse problems. 4..-when looking for a vet you should go by experience with horses only. 5..-medical insurance is getting very popular now a days in the racing business.  i hope this helps you  thanks ED HESS
