Answer
Hi Glenn:
Talked to one of my trainer friends and got some very good information.
The designations CX2, etc. are just the race #抯 from the condition book. If you look at the extra races they have on the overnight for Monday you see they are numbered X1, X2, X3, X4 etc.
If they use the race once entries are drawn they are telling the trainers which races from the condition book went and where they were placed on race day.
Example:
Look at Race 4 you see (C1. That means in the original condition book that was the first race listed.
Look at Race 1 you see (CX4. That means they used the fourth Xtra race that was generated on the overnight from a previous days entry sheet.
Look at Race Race 3 you see (CX4) again. They had a lot of entries for that Xtra 4 race so they split the field. You will notice the conditions of the race are the exact same.
The R85 is the race day the horse last tried to enter or did enter into a race. If a horse is entered in a race and they drawn and also eligible post they will be given 1st preference the next time the horse tries to enter in a race for the same condition at the same track.
Hope this information helps. I knew it did not mean anything as far as handicapping is concerned.
If you are pleased with my answers, you might like to give me a rating.
Thanks again for your question.
