seat hack
Question
hello sir, may i know what is seat hack in horse racing terms??
Answer
Hi Gopal:
Thanks for your question - I have never heard the term "seat hack" used in thoroughbred horse racing - the terms "hunter hack" and "show hack" refer to steeplechase races or equestrian show horses, rather than race horses. I think it is probably some kind of fastener that is designed to make the saddle more stable or secure while the horse is jumping. This is a little out of my realm in handicapping horse races, although you might want to check with some of the prominent jockeys in our sport (some of them have web sites) and ask them if this is something they use to stay better seated in a horse race. Again, thanks for your question.
