How do I get started?
Question
I am looking into becoming a racehorse exercise rider. I have been looking around and see to get started you really just need to know people and have connections in the racing industry which I unfortunately do not have. I also realize you need a license and other training too, but I was mainly wondering how do I get started with all of this? Considering I have no connections and live in an area with really no racing facilities, where should I start?
Thank you for any advice.

Answer
You really need to find a training center that is willing to let you get on horses. You may have to even ride for free to get a shot. There is nothing better than getting experience breaking and galloping young horse. That way you can grow with the horses. Your best bet is to go to Florida where there are a lot of training centers and lots of horses to get. I cant really give you any better advice than that. It's hard work and a lot of sacrifice.
