Question
car type in the stall
hello ma'am, we have got horses who used to peep in the stall window, bite any one passing by them out of boredom. observing this, one of our trainers at our local racetrack hung a car tyre without a tube in every stall so that horses can play with it and kill their boredom. this trick corrected few horses. they used to spend their time lying down in the stall, play with the tyre, chew the hay and drink water. is it correct using tyres in the stall? would you suggest me to hang a tyre or just leave it on the bedding?
AnswerThis is a common practice used to alleviate vices such as weaving and stall walking or simply for play. I would put the tire on the bedding only if the horse constantly walks his stall (stall walker). Make sure whatever you are using the tire for, that the size is large enough for a horse to easily remove his head if he decides to place his head in and out of the tire.
