swimming good or bowed tendoned horse
Question
hello sir, is swimming good and a quick healing process for a horse suffering from bowed tendons? what about poulticing? does this method works fast on the affected leg when applied daily?
Answer
There is a protocol that should be followed when healing a bowed tendons. Simply applying poultace will not heal a bowed tendons. Swimming may be good to keep a horse somewhat fit during rehabilitation, but normal walking and eventual joggingy is required for the tendon to heal properly. Swimming and poultace do not speed healing. Tendons need proper time to heal correctly or there will be high risk of reinjury.
