complete advantage
Question
hello sir, what does "complete advantage" mean in the below race report?
"Explanation of Jockey Sk. Sharookh (MARQUISE) in the presence of Trainer Faiyaz Shaikh that his mount maintained an erratic course in the final stages of the race more so under pressure due to which he was unable to ride out his mount to complete advantage, noted. However, Jockey Sk. Sharookh was severely reprimanded to exercise greater control over his mount in future, failing which he would be liable to disciplinary action."
Answer
hi -- i think that the jock was in a lot of trouble in the race and had to reserve his mount until he could get a position where he could let the horse run but by then, it was too late so it looked like the jock didn't give his mount a proper ride. he would either get days off or a fine in the us for that type of ride. thanks ED HESS
