Question
Sir;Where can I find information on horse's height(hands),weight, average stride(gait)and length at a given
time? Thank You

Answer
Hi Stephen:

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking.  If you own a horse and want its stride and gait analyzed, there are companies and research facilities that can assist you - for a hefty price.  If you are just curious about a particular horse's dimensions and measurements - an animal that you do NOT own - it is much more difficult.

All stallions are measured for height; any stud book will have that information listed on the sire's page.  If you call the stud farm and inquire as to the stallion's weight during its racing career, they could probably give you a fairly accurate guess on that figure.  The other information you seek is not readily available.  Again, a simple video analysis of a horse's stride can usually deliver a credible assessment of the length - if it performed by a skilled evaluator.  But it would quite expensive.
