retired at early age of 4

2016/7/15 11:24:15

Question
hello sir, a thoroughbred retired from races at an early age of 4 means what?? was it pushed harder and did the trainer spoiled the career of that horse?? should i or shouldnt i buy that horse which retired at an early age from races??

Answer
HI  WELL WHEN A HORSE IS RETIRED OR STOPS RACING, THERE IS ALWAYS A REASON WHY... COULD BE A SOUNDNESS PROBLEM OR A WIND PROBLEM OR MAYBE THE HORSE IS TOO SLOW TO COMPETE. I HAVE HEARD OF HORSES LIKE THAT COMING BACK TO THE RACES AND DOING VERY WELL. YOU WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A VET CHECK TO SEE IF THE HORSE WAS SOUND OR NOT BEFORE YOU BUY HIM.  THANKS Ed Hess
