Pari-Mutuel Wagering License

2016/7/15 11:24:07

Question
Must I have a Pari-Mutuel License to have a horse entered in a race as me as an owner?  Do I have to show proof of ownership in this horse to get a permit to race the horse? What type of proof of ownership would I need?

Answer
Hi Gail:

Thanks for your question.  Each State has different rules regarding who has to be licensed when entering horses in races.  In my State, the owner has to have a license.  Contact the Racing Commission in your State for their requirement.

Thanks for your question and I hope this helps you.
