paddle strokes
Question
How is a high brace performed? Does your body partially go under water ie. you get wet or not?
Answer
A high Brace is performed when your fist is above your shoulder, as if you are holding your hand in the air. Generally this is a type of bracing that is not used because of the risk of shoulder dislocation, but if you do use it you will get wet. If you brace on your left side all or part of the left side of your body will get wet. But again, don't use this brace... dislocated shoulders are a common result of bracing this way. It is better to stick with low braces where your fist is horizontal or below your chest line. If you have any more questions or want to go paddling in SW Pa let me know!
