QuestionHi,
I purchased a new E-Z load trailer for my boat in 2001..it is a model 2-ezl90 r which holds a 18' boat.
I purchased a new 2002 Nissan Frontier truck to pull my boat. I never used the trailer at night but last summer (2003) when the trailer & truck were connected I turned the headlights on in the truck & it blew the fuse in the connector ( where the truck & trailer harness is connected). If I do not turn on the headlights everything works fine....signals, brake lights, turning signals....but as soon as I turn on the truck headlights then the trailer lights go out because of a blown fuse.
Hoping you may have some idea as to what the problem may be.
Appreciate your help.
AnswerHello Bob,
Will the fuse blow if you only turn on the truck's parking lights? If so then you may want to check out the side marker lights. the side marker will only come on with the parking lights and headlights. The fuse might be blowing due to a shorted light bulb socket or the fuse might not be the correct amperage? Check the owners manual of the trailer to if the correct fuse is installed!
