Is a hydrostream a good boat

There is a  1980 hydrostream for sale around me and I was wondering how good of a boat a 1980 hydrostream is. The man thats saleing it has had it completely redone professoly. I have been told that hydrostreams have a weak transtom. Do you recommned this kind of boat.
