Do bicycles have the rules of road?

Bicycles are considered vehicles under traffic law, and cyclists are subject to the same rules of the road as other motorists. These include obeying speed limits, stopping for stop signs and red lights, and yielding to pedestrians in crosswalks. In some jurisdictions, cyclists may also be required to wear helmets and have lights on their bicycles at night.

In addition to the general rules of the road, cyclists also have some specific rules and regulations that apply to them. These include:

* Riding on the right side of the road in the same direction as traffic.

* Using hand signals to indicate turns and stops.

* Not riding more than two abreast in a lane of traffic.

* Not carrying more passengers than the bicycle is designed for.

* Not operating a bicycle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Cyclists should be aware of these rules and regulations and obey them at all times. By doing so, they can help to ensure their own safety and the safety of others on the road.
