Hi There,

I am doing a research, and was wondering wether you could help me out.

If you are willing I want you to explain in detail a) what kind of facilities and entertainment activities do you look forward to in a Resort or an Hotel. ( in Domestic or Forigen )

b) what are the things you hate

c) Please do mention any other thing regarding the topic.

PLUS

what do you expect on your dream bicyling trip like food and other facilities enroute  you got the idead right?

Hi Dimitrz,

a) I'm not fussy with hotels, but I expect a hotel to be clean, and with a hot bath or shower. Personally I prefer a private bathroom, but I realize that this is not standard outside the United States and Canada. If it's a bicycle trip I expect safe indoor storage for the bicycle. I don't expect entertainment. If a hotel has it that's fine, but I don't expect it or look for it.

b) I hate having to carry the bicycle upstairs. I hate rooms that have not been cleaned in awhile. I hate hotels where the bicycle can't be stored safely, and I will not stay at these places. I hate hotels that are noisy into the middle of the night--I go to bed early and wake up early on bicycle tours.

c) I'm satisfied with about 90 percent of the hotels that I stay at. Hotels that are unsanitary or with no safe storage are rare. (I have toured only in North America and Europe).

On a dream bicycling trip, I would like glorious scenery, good roads, not too much traffic, friendly people, and towns with stores/restaurants every 25 miles. I found this in France, Ireland, Switzerland, and most of the United States away from larger cities (but I have to study maps to find good roads). New Zealand is a bicycling paradise but I have not been there.
