saddle adjustment?
Question
this season I have been getting numbness in my left hand only, and after a short while into my rides. I am also starting to feel some pain in my knees. I have been making minor adjustments to my saddle( lower, more level, straighten handle bars) What can you tell me about this? Thanks
Answer
Hi Art,
Are you married and do you wear a wedding ring. This can cause some numbness in your hand. If you do wear a ring, simply take it off during the rides or be sure to wear gloves. Also if you are adjusting the seat to dip forward you may be causing extra weight to be placed on the hands, so that can cause some numbness.
Is your bike adjusted properly? You may want to take it to a shop and have them adjust it for you and have their pro watch you ride to see if the adjustments you have done my be helping or hindering.

The pain in the knees may be because of the seat adjustment or may be some sort of injury. Depending on your age, it may be just normal aging. You may want to add some Chondrointin and Glucosamine to your supplement program
Hope this helps,
